The Crest Theatre

The Crest Theatre is located in the restored 1925 Delray High School building on the Old School Square site in Delray Beach. It was dedicated in 1993 as the performing arts center for Old School Square. Originally the high school auditorium, the Crest Theatre was redesigned into a lovely, 323-seat, cutting-edge venue that combines the original high school hue (blue) with warm burgundy and gold elements. The original stage was just 12 feet deep; therefore, two stories of extra space were constructed during restoration to accommodate backstage, dressing rooms, and storage places. The original proscenium remains a significant historical component of the theater.
